History: This particular watch was the navigational chronometer watch for Captain Harold Huycke of the Ship ‘Star of India’ in San Diego, CA. The watch was sent out for cleaning and timing in June 1995 and returned 7/19/95. The bill is included in the shipping container.

Watch was also known as “Navigators Watch” sometimes used by aviators to aid in navigation. An interesting aspect to the 4992b is it ” Hacks” or stops when you pull out the crown to set the time.  Allowing you to set very precise time…the old “synchronize your watches” phrase.
